Title: New Media Intern
Description:
Our company is an innovative new media company that produces a wide range of online video programming. As an intern at you will be working alongside some of the best and most talented individuals in the new media space. New Media Intern Responsibilities:
(Marketing, Stats Gathering, Community Management, Outreach)
- Assist in outreach to popular blogs and web editors
- Work with the research and development team to identify current trends in online video
- Help gather data and stats for analysis
- Assist w/ building and interacting with our online communities
- Reviewing and organizing submissions
- Write titles and video descriptions for new episodes as they are released
- Optimize tags and titles in our video library
- Managing social media for our networks
- Source well made, interesting videos to share with production and development
- Research potential guests or features for specific networks
- Help marketing team with other day-to-day needs
- Assist with day-to-day development needs
Necessary Skills
- Exceptional writing ability
- Willingness and ability to work with excel spreadsheets, charts and other data
- Well-organized, able to prioritize
- Trustworthy
- Dependable, Creative, Resourceful
- Very good online research skills
- Familiarity with new media trends
Bonus Skills
- Photoshop / Design abilities
DURATION:
Semester (3 Months) / Commitment of 2-3 days a week
(Flexible for outstanding candidates)
UNPAID: This is an unpaid position, but a great opportunity to work closely with a small team where your skills and contributions will be highly relied upon and valued. School credit is available.
